Blue Rising formed in the summer of 2010 in Bloomington, Indiana. With a wide variety of influences, the band has crafted a unique sound, drawing inspiration from Led Zeppelin, Incubus, and Tool. Lyrics that speak of the human condition, with an inspirational feeling, are presented with soaring vocals and strong instrumental backing. When asked to compare their sound to other bands, the group is at a loss: “We sound like Blue Rising,” states Narey.
